I have been taking photographs since I was six-years old. I begged my father for a camera. My first camera was a 110 Kodak Instamatic. In high school I studied photography and was a photographer for the student yearbook & newspaper. in my senior year I was named as Co-photo Editor of the yearbook. In college I studied photo-journalism at the University of Missouri-Columbia and earned my bachelor's degree in Journalism. I was a staff photographer for the college student newspaper the Maneater. I also worked for the Missourian - a daily newspaper staffed by the students. After college I moved to Colorado and pursued Nature & Landscape photography. In 1997, I founded A Better Image Photography a full-service studio creating images that last a lifetime!
Colorado Springs has been my home since 1992. I enjoy all Colorado has to offer. I have climbed 34 of the 14,000ft peaks so far. I love to travel and have been fortunate to travel the world to more than 14 countries. I have four amazing children who I adore. My son is following in my footsteps - he is taking a photography class at his high school this semester.
Photography is my passion and look forward to continuing my photographic journey.
